Hilde de Wolf received her soloist diploma in recorder from the Rotterdam Conservatory in 1990 where she studied with Thera de Clerck and Han Tol.

 

By a donation of 'het Prins Bernhard Fonds' and 'Stichting Voortgezette Studie Podiumkunsten' it was made possible to study at the Staatliche Hochschule in Trossingen, Germany with Kees Boeke.  With the specialization medieval and contemporary repertoire for recorder in 1994, it concluded that studies.

With the Icarus Ensemble (recorder, baroque violin, baroque cello, lute, harpsichord / organ net), specializing in chamber music from the Renaissance and Baroque Hilde came in 1993 in the final of the internationale Van Wassenaer Concours. This resulted in successful concerts at European festivals, early music series, Iceland, USA (Washington) and a stay of three months in Japan for concerts in the Nagasaki Holland Village. The Icarus Ensemble recorded for Claves Records, Switzerland.

She worked under the direction of Frans Brüggen and Kees Boeke at the Siena Accademia musicale Chigiana, Italy during the recording of Viadana's Salmi a Quattro Chori.

 

As a recorder player Hilde often gives concerts with different orchestras and ensembles from all over the world. She performed at festivals such as Settimana Musicale Senese in Italië; International Nordic Baroque Music Festival in Sweden, Festival di Musica Antica in Sardinia, Musée des Instruments de Musique (MIM) in Brussels, the International Barocktage Stift Melk in Austria, Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid., Eiker Musikkffestival in Norge.

 

In addition she offers master classes in recorder frequently in the Netherlands and Germany (Hinterschmidings Osterwoche für ensemblespiel) and the conservatory at Saarbrücken(Saarländisches Blockflötenseminar für Ensemblespiel).

She is the recorder player in the orchester of the Laurenschurch in Rotterdam and in the orchester: 'Concerto Brabant' in Den Bosch.

Hilde is given lessons in recorder since 1990 at the Stichting Nieuwerkerkse muziekschool and since 2002 at De VAK, center for the arts, Delft.

Since january 2012 also at the Stichting Muziekonderwijs Pijnacker.

Besides playing recorder she is also relied on the Viola da Gamba. She studied with Paulina van Laarhoven. She performed works like Buxtehude, Membra nostri Jesu and Couperins Le Leçons the ténèbres.
